Five Wacky New Year’s Resolutions.

When making New Year’s resolutions, we usually chose to write serious things as our resolutions. However, what if we wrote things that are kind of silly (or even funny), but those resolutions could actually benefit us positively. Here’s a few that I came up with…

1. I resolve to only smoke an electronic cigarette.
Some folks who smoke might write that they resolve to quit smoking as their resolution, but has anyone ever really thought of just saying that you’re going to use only that silly little vapor stick? Still, it would benefit you by getting you off of the tobacco.

2. I resolve to not eat any doughnuts (especially Krispy Kremes) for the whole year.
Certainly, there will be many resolutions to lose weight, go on a diet, exercise more, get in shape, etc. Though, how many resolvers plan to not eat only one type of food? Of course, if it were only one food that was giving you a problem, cutting it might actually be the best route to take.

3. I resolve to do a Samba every morning when I wake up.
While it would be funny to see someone Samba every morning, it would be a big boost for your morning wake up routine. Exercising, or any form of activity, can help you wake up in the morning. Plus, it’s exercise, which usually ties into the usual weight loss resolutions.

4. I resolve to finally get that degree in basket-weaving.
Basket weaving is a typical “filler” course in colleges and universities. Getting a degree in basket-weaving might be the most useless degree to acquire (if it were possible), but, at least it would be something. Plus, you could still learn from other courses.

5. I resolve to post myself singing in the shower on YouTube.
Why would anyone want to do that? Well, looking at it positively, you could have the video go viral. Money from page views, and 15 minutes of fame might just come your way. Maybe…

Ultimately, there are a lot of wacky things one could write as a New Year’s resolution. What matters is that, no matter what, the resolution impacts you in some positive way. It also needs to be said that the resolution needs to be physically possible. Resolving to lose 100 lbs. in one week by eating nothing but Luther Burgers is physically impossible, not to mention detrimental to one’s health.

Good luck on your success with what you resolve to do, and happy New Year!
